Mate.

How one prepares it, I try to describe in the following one:

The equipment (one gets in Germany in each third world shop)

- a thermal can with a small opening, in order to know small quantities water refill

- the Mate : an go out-oiled and dried kuerbisaehnliche fruit of the plant of the same name (Matebaum). There are Mates with or without rack (sometimes one needs nevertheless both hands freely;-)). One can drink however Mate also from a glass.

- the Bombilla : a metallic Strohalm (Bombilla) with a filter at the lower end

those Yerba : the dte, there is which to buy here everywhere

 

 

The preparation

Fills the Mate half fully with Yerba. Afterwards you turn the Mate somewhat on the side, until the Yerba is enough to the edge. Now something (caution) onto the Yerba pour cold or lukewarm water, so that this somewhat can before-pour.

Afterwards can their it firstonce to the side place. The longer the Yerba before-pours the better. First of all one prevents by the Vorquellen that one drinks small Yerbastueckchen (bitterly) and secondly that the Yerba "does not burn", if their the late hot water draufschuettet (also bitterly).

Now the water is boiling and fills it into the thermal can, until this is nearly full, the remainder please with cold water fills up. One makes this likewise, so that the Mate "does not burn", and thus not immediately "lavado" (i.e. washed) is. Now you put only the Bombilla into the Mate, if possible on the side, where no (or less) Yerba is. Or you make a hole pure with the Bombilla simply into the Yerba,!

Drink

Something water pours into the Mate, onto the side, where the Bombilla in it-puts. Then can their it drink. Fill up and then again. Drink then....

Mate Lavado

If the Yerba throws no more small vesicles with the Aufgiessen, is the Mate lavado. In order to refurbish it again, one must agitate now the Yerba only somewhat, move and/or as described above, the Bombilla somewhat in your situation. But ask with consideration.

The first time

Before you drink the first times Yerba from your Mate, must you only times your Mate prepare around the bitter materials from the Kuerbis to filter:

- Mategefaess with Yerba fill, hot water (cooking) draufgiessen and one night to pull leave ( not to drink!!!!! )
