Octoberfest on Uruguayisch
We were on weekend in Colonia Suiza and the beer celebration visited.
The Wiesn in Uruguay always takes place in December in Colonia Suiza (Swiss colony). The celebration lasts from Thursday to Sunday and by one, for Uruguayi conditions, rather large master programs is accompanied.
Apart from several removals, the choice to beer kings, each Sunday a competition takes place in wood heels, beer barrel relay run and arm pressures. Which in Europe straight becomes popular as "Timbersports", here already eternally tradition has within small framework.
Our first impression of the celebration was the nice family atmosphere with in Uruguay such a celebration takes place. In Germany I cannot remember anyhow no more a public meeting this extent, to which no Security was necessary service.
Beside the mandatory Merchandise, it is missing to articles naturally not at some grill conditions and beverage act ions. The main program takes place according to experience on Friday and Saturday evening.

All in all times again our impression is confirmed the fact that Uruguay offers little spectacular objects of interest but shines to more by the friendly unaggressive kind and the relaxed way of the life.
There are determines many places at those beer celebrations more largely, spectacular and is louder, but hardly a place at which one with its children more relaxed to it sharings knows.
